Lecture “What does ‘mother tongue’ mean to you? On the meaning of the concept in vulnerable linguistic communities”

Upon the invitation of theUniversity of Regensburg, within the framework of the seeFField project, Annemarie Sorescu-Marinković, principal research fellow at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, held a lecture entitled “What does ‘mother tongue’ mean to you? On the meaning of the concept in vulnerable linguistic communities.”

The lecture took place at the Institute for East and Southeast European Studies in Regensburg on November 8, 2023, and was attended by fellow researchers, professors and students of the University in Regensburg. The presentation drew upon the results of the “Vulnerable Languages and Linguistic Varieties in Serbia” (VLingS) project, funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia under the IDEAS program (2022–2024).
