Dr. Valentina Živković enrolled in basic studies of Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 1998. She enrolled in master studies at the same department in 2003. She defended her Doctoral dissertation on the topic of art, society and religion in the late Middle Ages and the early Renaissance in Kotor in 2007. She works at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, as a principal research fellow.

Areas of research and research topics - art and religiosity in the late Middle and Early Modern centuries in Kotor, with a focus on cultural ties between the two Adriatic coasts, cults of saints, testamentary legacies for the salvation of the soul and observant reform of the Dominican order.
