Diasporas and Transnational Communities
Annemarie Sorescu Marinković, PhD, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, took part in the international summer school Diasporas and Transnational Communities, held between June 29 and July 10, 2015, at the Koç University in Istanbul (Turkey). The summer school was organized by the Migration Research Center of the Koç University, in association with ERSTE Foundation (Austria), and supported by Včelí Dom (Slovakia). А. Sorescu Marinković, who is also a research fellow of the ERSTE Foundation Fellowship for Social Research 2014/2016 – Diasporas, nation states and mainstream societies in Central and Eastern Europe, delivered, on July 2, a lecture entitled Contemporary Romanian labour migration to Serbia: Towards a new paradigm of diaspora.
