The award to Dr. Ristić

18. Dec 2014.

With the decision of the jury of the endowment of Djurdje I. Jelenić (the director of the State Archives from 1929 until 1938, which is a part of the Archives of Serbia), dr Ljubodrag P. Ristić, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies of SASA, was awarded for his monograph SERBIA IN BRITISH POLITICS (1889-1903) which was published by the Institute for Balkan Studies in a series of special editions. The award-winning book consists of a detailed and precise analysis of the relations between a great European power and a Balkan state during the reign  of King Aleksandar I Obrenović. Considering the fact that this monograph is founded on documents from numerous archive funds, it completely satisfies the high criteria of the endowment for the prize to be awarded for a scholarly study “in the field of archival science and history which is mostly made on the basis of archival material from the archives of Serbia“. The award was presented to Dr. Ristić on December  15th , 2014 the day of the Archives of Serbia.
