Folklore in the field and in the study. Informants’ knowledge and anthropologists’ interpretation

At the invitation of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RGGU), Moscow, Dr. Ljubinko Radenković, senior research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies, took part in the international scholarly conference Folklore in the field and in the study. Informants’ knowledge and anthropologists’ interpretation, held in Pereslavl’-Zalessky from 30 April to 7 May 2014, and gathering about eighty scholars. Dr. Radenković submitted two papers (in the form of lectures): “Turkish mythological beings in the Balkans” and “Beliefs and tales about the wandering dead – stereotyped narrative”.
