Guest visit to the Historical Institute of the University of Montenegro, in Podgorica

Rastko Lompar and Bogdan Živković, research associates of our institute, were guests of the Historical Institute of the University of Montenegro, in Podgorica. On July 18th colleagues Lompar and Živković held two lectures, presenting the results of the research project Pope Pius XII and the Challenge of Totalitarianism in Yugoslavia, 1941–1958, POLITY (project supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, GRANT N° 7749803).
Colleague Lompar's lecture was titled: "The Roman Catholic Church in the Independent State of Croatia: a View from Berlin"; colleague Živković's lecture was titled: "The Roman Catholic Church in Socialist Yugoslavia, 1945-1958".
The two research associates  also participated in the international scientific conference "Milovan Đilas 1911-1995-2025", held on July 19th at the Historical Institute. Colleague Lompar had a presentation "Milovan Đilas and the Tactics of Communists in Sremska Mitrovica Prison"; colleague Živković's presentation was "A Memoir or a Social History of Montenegro? The Historical Aspects of Đilas's Land Without Justice".
