Second Prometheus Workshop on Epigraphic Heritage Representation and Audience Development
The event titled “Second Prometheus Workshop on Epigraphic Heritage Representation and Audience Development” was held in Skopje from 20 to 22 May 2025. The workshop was organised within the framework of the European project PROMETHEUS – Promoting Universal Values through Digital Epigraphy and Cultural Heritage (CREA–CULT–2023–COOP), as part of the Capacity Building work package coordinated by Dr Dragana Nikolić, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. At the workshop, she gave a presentation titled “PlAIying with Inscriptions: Experimenting with AI in EpiDoc Workflows”, offering a critical reflection on the potential and limitations of applying artificial intelligence in EpiDoc encoding of ancient inscriptions.
