New book by Dubravka Preradović "In the Name of Knowledge and the Homeland. Research of Medieval Monuments under the Auspices of the National Museum of Serbia and Its Results (1906–1940)"
Dubravka Preradović, a research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA is the author of the book "У име науке и домовине. Истраживања средњовековних споменика под окриљем Народног музеја Србије и њихови резултати (1906–1940) [In the Name of Knowledge and the Homeland. Research of Medieval Monuments under the Auspices of the National Museum of Serbia and Its Results (1906–1940)]", published at the end of the previous year by National Museum of Serbia. Primarily based on rich archival material, this extensive and exceptionally illustrated study, according to one of the reviewers “significantly expanded and enhanced our knowledge not only about the activities of the National Museum but also about its most important curators and directors, particularly to the contribution of Vladimir Р. Petković to the study and documentation of the Serbian cultural heritage.”
