Online conference "Relatively Absolute. Absolute and Relative Chronologies of the Neolithic Period in Southeast Europe" held on June 10th 2022

Under the auspices of the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and as part of the "Regional Absolute Chronologies of the Late Neolithic in Serbia" project funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, an online conference "Relatively Absolute. Absolute and Relative Chronologies of the Neolithic Period in Southeast Europe" was successfully held on Friday, 10th of June 2022.

Over 25 scientists from Europe participated in presenting current state of research and knowledge in the aspect of chronology and chronological problems associated with the Neolithic period of Southeast Europe and adjoining areas. Miroslav Marić, PhD, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies presented a portion of project results realised through PROMIS call of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, present a newly developed detailed chronology of the Vinča period in the area of Southeast Serbian Banat. The organisers of the conference wish to extend our gratitude to conference presenters and participants, and plan to present conference results proceedings in the near future.
