Politics of Enmity: Can Nation Ever Be Emancipatory?

Sanja Lazarević Radak, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, took part in the 5th International Conference of the Group for Social Engagement Studies of the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade: Politics of Enmity: Can Nation Ever Be Emancipatory?, held in Belgrade 26–28 September 2016. The paper she presented in co-authorship with Dr Andrija Mitić was devoted to “Symbolic Geography and Anthropomorphization of a Nation: The Ottoman Empire and Turkey in English and American Travelogues (1840–1921)”.
