Promotion of the edited volume Ars Praehistorica: Commemorating Nikola Tasić’s Legacy in Balkan Antiquity
The promotion of the collected volume Ars Praehistorica: Commemorating Nikola Tasić’s Legacy in Balkan Antiquity, edited by Dr Vladimir P. Petrović, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and dedicated to Academician Nikola Tasić, was held at the University Gallery in Kragujevac on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
The event was organized by the Center for Scientific Research of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the University of Kragujevac, in cooperation with the Kragujevac Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments.
The scholarly significance and conceptual framework of the volume were presented by Academician Miloš Đuran, Head of the Center, Predrag Vukašinović, Director of the Institute, Dr Vladimir P. Petrović, editor of the volume, and Dr Vojislav Filipović, member of the editorial board.
The volume represents the result of long-term and systematic scholarly research involving the collection, critical analysis, and interpretation of diverse materials, with the aim of providing a comprehensive and academically grounded assessment and valorization of the scientific legacy of Academician Nikola Tasić—former Vice-President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, long-standing Director of the Institute for Balkan Studies, and Head of the SASA Center in Kragujevac.
