Participation of Dr Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović in a Panel at SASA

A panel discussion on the occasion of the presentation of the monograph Roma on the Waves of Neoprotestantism by Dr Dragan Todorović, University of Niš, was held in the Main Hall of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) on 23rd of April 2026, organized by the SASA Board for the Study of the Life and Customs of the Roma.

Dr Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, took part in the panel as one of the speakers. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of this monograph for understanding contemporary religious processes among Roma communities, such as conversion to neo-Protestant communities, particularly in relation to issues of identity and social change.

The panel was opened by Academician Mirjana Rašević, Corresponding Member of SASA, and also featured sociologists of religion from Montenegro and North Macedonia.
