Lecture by Dr. Dubravka Preradović "The Connecting Histories Project: The Princeton and Mount Athos Legacy and Slobodan Nenadović's Collection on Hilandar"
Dubravka Preradović, Research Associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies of the SАСА, delivered a lecture entitled “The Connecting Histories: The Princeton and Mount Athos Legacy Project and Slobodan Nenadović’s Hilandar Collection” on 26 February in Hall 2 of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The lecture was organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Society of the Holy Mountain of Athos. On that occasion, Dr. Preradović presented the results of her work on a project devoted to research on Mount Athos, led by Princeton University.
As part of her research on the project, Dr. Preradović spent time at Princeton in 2025, where she studied the collection of architectural drawings, rubbings of architectural sculpture and inscriptions, and photographs of Hilandar Monastery produced by the architect Slobodan Nenadović. The collection has been held since 1987 in the Department of Art and Archaeology at the University.
