Dr. Milosav Đoković gave a lecture at the French School in Rome on January 15

Dr. Milosav Đoković, research associate at the Institute of Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, gave a lecture on January 15, at the French School in Rome (École française de Rome) entitled “Archivi di Pio XII e lo Stato Indipendente di Croazia (1941-1945)” as part of the seminar “Les archives du pontificat de Pie XII : recherches en cours – Cinq rencontres à l’École française de Rome”.

During the lecture, Đoković presented new findings from the Vatican archives on the Independent State of Croatia, with a special focus on the mission of Abbot Marcone in Zagreb, forced conversions of Orthodox Serbs to Catholicism and the positions of the Holy See to that.
