Publication of Dr Valentina Živković’s Collected Studies: “Old Kotor – Painting, Salvation of the Soul, Cults of the Saints”

A collection of selected works by Dr Valentina Živković, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Balkan Studies Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, has been published. The book Old Kotor: Painting, Salvation of the Soul, Cults of the Saints, has been published by the Tivat City Library.

It brings together three main themes of Dr Živković's research to date: late medieval religious paintings in Kotor churches; the aspiration towards salvation of the soul in testamentary and funerary programmes; and the cults of particularly revered saints in Kotor, such as Saint Tryphon, Saint Vincent Ferrer and Blessed Osanna from Kotor.

Michele Bacci, Professor at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, wrote the foreword. Stevan Kordić is the author of the photographs.
