The Eight National Conference of Byzantine Studies

 

Dubravka Preradović, PhD, and Milena Davidović, PhD, Research Associates at the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), participated in the Eighth National Conference of Byzantine Studies, held from October 27 to 29, 2025, in Belgrade. The event was organized by the Serbian Committee for Byzantine Studies, in cooperation with the Committee for Byzantine Studies of SASA and the Institute for Byzantine Studies of SASA.

Dubravka Preradović took part in the first session of the conference and, within the thematic section “The Byzantine City and Its Heritage,” presented a paper entitled “Cities and Saints: The Sacred Topographies of Byzantine Cities on the Adriatic.” On the second day of the conference, within the general section “Byzantine Themes,” Milena Davidović presented a paper entitled “The Palaea Historica in the Serbian Manuscript Tradition: On an Abridged Version of the Text.”
