“Materialising Religion in the Secret Police Archive” – Annual Workshop

Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović, PhD, research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, took part in the international workshop Materialising Religion in the Secret Police Archive:  Methodological, Ethical and Legal approaches to the Study of Religions in Secret Police Archives held from 10th to 11th September 2017 in Budapest (Hungary). The workshop was organized by the University College Cork (Ireland) and ÁBTL - Historical Archives of the Hungarian State Security as part of the ERC „Hidden Galleries“ project.  Aleksandra presented a paper entitled “The Possibility of Research on Religious Minorities in the Secret Police Archives in the Former Yugoslavia”. Participants of the workshop were historians and anthropologists from Ireland, Romania, Hungary and Moldova.
